coming soon:
increased semantic density
that will be used on this website
like merveilles, or 100rb---even for a day
On Density:
I want to research more into quantities of information. How do we quantify how much information is conveyed in a single word? In a concept? Etc. Language is power; language is how we conceptualize things; can I find a source for that? That words that we use limit or broaden our understanding? Language is effectively how we navigate the world; genre shows up in relationship and sexuality. In "The Emergency", Selva says that language is the barrier between us & others (our AT Field, the walls of the heart, how we conceptualize ourselves as our selves), while Rustin thinks it is the only thing that is truly human. Both are true and maybe language is our barrier to ego death. But how do we know? Can I come up with a better formatter for these things because typing them in Github.dev is painful?
On English:
When we're talking semantic density, we're talking semanticity. Linguistic meaning. How can we cram as much meaning into as little space as possible without making things stupidly long or impossible to memorize? How can it be English-readable? I want to be English-readable. I want that English Prime type shit. (see xxiivv for more on that.) Do I have to reinvent a type system? Can I just add a notation for verbs and casually make it less and less like English? We start with cognates and work backwards. And further and further.
q: like merveilles how?
a: have you checked out xxiivv yet? The link is on the cool page. They have this whole time system that I think is very cool, but I also unfortunately sort of also kind of think everyone is a member of a cult and so am a titch scared of them. the goal of this thing is to try and differentiate the words i'm talking about. Let's see if I can stick to it? I dunno, that's my main thing; I want to be able to come out with something that I can actually use. And I'm pretty bad at that. IT IS A SHAME!! Their language page is so so so amazing! Their thoughts are so amazing! Why are they scary? It feels like an endpoint
main thought: is there a single affix that denotes the class of a word? To make it a noun or an adverb. I dunno that's the main thing I want: semanticity is not a common word, but I put it on a commit message for this. Thalassophobically. Something.
